Nestled in the foothills of Castle Rock, between Red Hawk and Bear Dance, these terraces bridge the gap between civilization and wilderness. Behind them sits a well kept home and yard. Beyond them is the open grasslands which define much of the foothills and plains.  Through the arrangement of native shrubs, grasses and perennials, this design is intended to soften that barrier, the plants progressing from low maintenance near the house, to no maintenance at the far edges. The variations in structure, color and bloom times will help to maintain both ecological and human interests year round.
