Tucked away in the suburbs of Highlands Ranch, this front yard was largely covered by lawn. This meant constant watering and weekly maintenance during summer in order to keep it looking presentable. This redesign offers new paths to keep the yard accessible, but fills the majority of the yard with low maintenance native plantings which will provide more color and interest throughout the seasons, while requiring less water and maintenance. A small portion will remain a turf grass lawn, but will be replaced with a fescue mix that requires significantly less water.
