Native Perennial Showcase

This patch of lawn was unassuming, and failed to take advantage of the edge condition found along the property line. As the grass struggled to grow in that area, it became clear that the irrigation dedicated to that area could be used on a better plant selection consisting of native perennials and grasses including Rocky Mountain Penstemon, Prairie Coneflowers, Blue Gramma Grass and Columbines. In order to develop a more cohesive design and to take advantage of the natural drainage of the site, the cobblestone border extends along the depression between the two yards and allows the runoff to flow directly to the new bed
